Have you ever felt like living a Groundhog Day through the entire year? All days look the same; the whole year turns into one blur. In December, you look back and think: Where has the year gone, and what happened to New Year’s resolutions? Not to mention big, exciting dreams and life-fulfilling goals.
In a fast-paced world with constant notifications, pings and updates, it’s easy to lose track of what matters and settle on what’s in front of us, paddling through and trying to keep our heads above the water.
We live in survival mode without time to pause and reflect on what’s working, what’s not working, and where we are going with this.
Thankfully, there is a better way, a path to break free from the cycle of monotony and rediscover the joy of living.
Many of my coaching clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by life, responsibilities, and the constant “what’s next?” being swipped with passing time rather than in a driver’s seat.
They’re ready to make changes and want better lives for themselves. They see what’s not working but don’t know how to get off the spinning hamster wheel.
They are already aware of the untapped potential, a voice whispering, “You can do better; I believe in you!”
They told me that if they could quiet that voice, it would get better next year.
Spoiler alert: That little voice never goes away; next year is the same.
That’s where coaching comes in.
It’s not about me telling my clients what to do but about helping them gain the clarity and confidence they need to move ahead with their ideas and plans.
That’s the beauty of coaching: you can unlock the potential you know is there, not because I tell you it is, but because through coaching, you will learn to recognise it in yourself and feel it in your bones.
Coaching gives you clarity and confidence to move ahead with your ideas and goals. All you need is a safe space to unpack your mindset, install new beliefs, and take practical actions to become the best version of yourself.
It takes courage and effort to pause, reflect, and make changes. But the rewards are immense: a more fulfilling life filled with joy, purpose, meaningful experiences, and relationships.
It doesn’t have to be a massive overhaul of your life. It is much better and way more sustainable to start small, incorporate micro changes, figure out what’s working and what isn’t, and include small but consent habits and actions: you gain traction and confidence to take you to the next stage of change.
The power of starting small will help you see that the compound effect of small actions can snowball and bring results without turning your life upside down (not that sometimes you don’t need that too), it will not be that after you realise that it all adds up and what you thought was out of reach is actually in your grasp.
My role as a coach is not to tell you what to do or to give you answers on a silver platter. Instead, I’m here to guide you in finding the answers within yourself. In coaching, we believe each of us has the potential to create a fulfilling and happy life; my job is to help you tap into that more profound knowledge.”
So you say. “Hey, Anna, that sounds so simple!” Yes, it’s simple, very simple. But why isn’t everyone doing this? The answer is because it’s not easy. Otherwise, everyone would be doing it. The power of asking the right questions is never mentioned.
The quality of your answers will depend on the quality of your questions.
If you want better answers, you need to start asking better questions. And that’s where a coach can help. We’re trained to ask the right questions that will lead you to the best answers. It’s still simple but not always easy to do on your own.
Considering that not everyone is ready to start working with a coach, I developed seven questions to help you get better at life and start making different choices. By asking yourself these questions, you create an opportunity for self-discovery and continuous improvement. It’s a simple yet effective way to stay aligned with your values and live more intentionally.
